extra socket

guys

been asked to install an extra socket in a house. does this need to be rcd protected if isn't already. Fuse board has rewire-able fuses its also only a short run

You will have to provide 30mA RCD protection for the circuit that supplies the socket, unless it's SELV.

put the socket 3metres from the bath, then you'll need an extension lead for the portable tv, dvd player, x-box, freeview box, VCR, and hair dryer, use two of those 3 into1 adaptors, stacked and balance on edge of bath.

p.s. make sure wifey has the video cam.handy -- £250 from you've been electrocuted ( sorry, framed)

why not wire it WHILE you are in the bath? At least you know you can reach it then!

I haven't really got a very big bath-room, I haven't got a very big anything.
But......sockets and baths....and.....water......and BS7671......its interesting hey?
