Ikea HOO M10s extractor hood. Lights flash on then stay dimmed.

Video of lights turning on here - New video by Matthew Arnold - https://photos.app.goo.gl/2sNSTP2Cq5PrWMcq6 (also attached)

The bulbs are brand new LED bulbs. I replaced the Cooker Hood Light Lamp Switch (suggested by builder) but that hasn't worked.

It was working fine, then we did a small job on kitchen where tiles were backsplash tiles were replaced and everything cleaned. And then it stopped.

Wondering if there's something stupid I'm doing... seems like replacing the whole hood might be easiest thing?

TL;DR
Extractor hood lights not working (fan working fine)

Have they always been LED lamps? If not it's entirely possible the transformer supplying them isn't capable of properly regulating with such a small load. If you can't change the transformer, switch back to halogen capsules and see how things pan out.

As per SparkyChick above.
The user manual for that cooker hood shows the original bulbs are halogen type.
It's unlikely the transformer inside was designed with LED's in mind
I think the simplest solution would be to put the original 12V 20W type bulbs back!

It was working previously with one halogen and one LED but for some reason stopped...
But after swapping halogen bulbs back in it works!

There was no need for me to open it up!

Thanks a mil

A lot of the smaller lighting transformers have ratings like 20-60w.... one halogen and one LED is likely to push it into the region where it will operate and regulate properly, but two LEDs are likely to be less than 10W so it won't play ball.

Glad you've got it sorted :)
