Fair Wage for my skill set?

Alright guys, I just wanted to know what you would pay me if I were working for you. Been working 4-5 years doing general electrics. House bashing, fire alarm systems, data cables, antennas, etc. Can safely say I can rewire a house on my own; ringmains, lighting, kitchens, outside lighting, SWA if that's the case, consumer units. Fairly competent if someone asked me to do a fire alarm panel. Intercoms. I can have a go at cameras but need more experience in data cables. Nothing to coax and TV's really. Performance in work I'd say I was enthusiastic, more so than the boss that can be lazy and an arsehole at times. I'm in my 3rd year of college and I will do my 18th edition when it comes out and my AM2 along with completing my portfolio. Not driving yet as I have never needed to. Got most of my own tools within reason. Haha. Just wanted to know what you think I would be worth, had to write an essay because I know it's hard to know someone's value without seeing them work but I've been as honest as I can. Thanks lads

I started of on £27 quid a week on an apprenticeship, it was in the late 80's so equates to about £50 a week now accounting for inflation and you think even on £3.50 an hour is having it bad, yer don't know yer born lad!

That kind of guy would be getting the middle finger (and a good scudding depending on my mood). I wouldn't even entertain that sort of attitude for a good wage, let alone the wage you're on.

£20 a day for half a year then upto £30 but bacon butties, a laugh and easy going. And time to read a book on the bus to Leeds!

Only on £50 a day. Just feel like I should be on more by now. Just needed a clue of what I was worth. Don't think I'll leave him for less than £90 I couldn't justify letting him down. He'd have to find someone rubbish and start all over with them and I don't think he has the patience. Hahaha

That's northern wages for ya... down south (London) you could probably double that...

Be careful is all I would say, sometimes our own echo chamber (friends and family) can give us an exaggerated value of our worth. Be realistic too, You are a 3rd year/stage apprentice and will most probably be getting charged out as such. I think to imply that you have "taught yourself" well that may be being a bit blinkered lol.....Someone has to show you to start with mate. Don't get me wrong we ALL felt like you do when doing our apprenticeship ect but keep your head down and keep applying yourself and you will be wondering what all the fuss was about in a couple of years.
I would also get my driving lessons done if I were in your position...It will increase your value to any employer.

Another way to look at it is - think how much it would have cost you if you had to pay someone to teach you and give you the opportunity to learn what you have .
loyalty is an attribute as well. Many get taught , then jack and go for the highest bid.

Thanks for everyone's input, definitely taken everything on board. Just gonna stick it out. I've done it for this long, I can last another year or two no problem! Don't get me wrong, I've been taught how to do things for sure. But what I mean is when it comes to fault finding or how wiring systems work, I've always had to figure that out for myself because he hasn't got the patience.

Recently been given more responsibility. I'm now on fuse board duty.
Offered to fit a 12way board on a Sunday for £70 suppose how good a wage it is depends on how long it takes me. 4hours maybe?

He's putting me up to 60 a day so I'm happy with that for another year. Hopefully get my driving done shortly and I'll be more valuable and I can ask for another raise, which will hopefully go a fair way of maintaining my van! That's my plan

Yeah mate, I'd give half a day to do a board. And 70 quid is cheap and you know it!!! Haha. My boss is doing board change and certs for 300 quid
