fals eceiling help please

I am fixing a mess someone left its a shower that has been moved by a bathroom fitter. The whole room is tilled and he has buried a cable joint behind the tiled wall which of course has now gone faulty (complete live to earth short). I am going to put a false ceiling in to allow me to run a new cable to the shower. My problem is that I am looking for something to give the guy a finished job I was thinking of something like this

I am sure I have seen this in shower rooms before but not sure if its water proof

Dont do it it will bubble , what you want is bathroom plastics try bathroom maquee easy to fit screw up and you cant see the screws as the grove in the plastic covers it , fully water proof , you could also check for it on ebay some very good prices on there

Why not use tapered edge boards and fill the joints. Saves getting it plastered ?

Yes mate but i personally would still reccommend boarding and skimming it, just leaves a better job but thats just me, how come it can't go above the ceiling thats there already?

I wish it could mate but it's a top floor flat with no loft space

HI everyone, i would prefer you to choose PVC False ceiling from (spam removed) because i had experienced there personally. Their products are less expensive too, also those look more attractive than others, easily installable, cleanable, durable, fire resistant,water resistant etc.

Don't forget to add the cost of the plane journey on to the customer's bill. It will be worth it because I also have experienced there personally. Daz

Too late...he didn't, lost thousands on the job having to pay for the flights. Took the apprentice too but he lives and learns...
