fan speed control wiring

Hi Guys
Trying to connect speed controller to fan not sure what connects to what for 3 wire control.
Any ideas?

one end of capacitor connects to brown .The other to black

I'm not sure what you did to attach the image but it didn't work I'm afraid. Easiest way is put the image on your desktop and click this button then when a small window appears click 'choose' and browse to the image then highlight it and click 'upload files'
