Anyone care to diagnose?

AO came in. Left it like this and took the replacement back!

The wooden work top has been glued to the top of dishwasher making it impossible to remove the appliance without some judicious application of force?

I think I'd shoot the kitchen fitter or whoever laid the laminate floor

How did you get the new one in??

Actually came out after judicious use of a prybar! And ... Err.... Two prybar shaped indentations.

Oddly enough, front feet came out easily. Back feet were a pain.

Given AO took the matching door with them I put a standalone in which slid in with a bit of persuasion and has about 3mm clearance at the top.

That said.....

We're tarting it up later in the year after holiday season is over.

I'd have been onto AO and made it exceedingly clear - either they return the door or they explain to plod why they took it. Even the "we were paid to take the old stuff away" excuse doesn't wash since the door wouldn't be part of the appliance.

Yeah.... And they didn't actually manage to take the old unit away.
