fault finding

My light in garage has stopped working. the other light has 230 v supply tested. when i test the voltage at the sw side of ceiling rose feeding light it only has 20v.

Any1 shed any light on this and would it stop the light working??

check the neutral connection between the lights ,sounds like a bad or broken connection and be careful as its still potentially live 240v

Thanks mate. I will check the neural connections. Out of curiosity at what sort of voltage would a ligt stop working?

depends on what type of light you have and what its voltage operating tolerances are, as some can work as low as 110v
