Supply for TV in my bedroom, I extended ring into the attic and my plan was to have socket and TV outlet behind the TV, when the TV came it is one of them slim LED ones that hang to the wall sort like a picture, there’s no way you can have socket and plug top behind it as it hangs so close to the wall, so plan b, FCU in the attic with supply direct to the telly.
All solid walls, with outlets being so high it was just a case drilling down to the box I cut out no raggling involved (apart from 1 gang box). Personally I don’t see any problems with this regarding the regs,

Daughter getting TV for Christmas so plan the same in her room, any thoughts as to why this set up would not be acceptable.
Left length in attic so in the future can pull cables down and fit socket.

you should fit a socket or a FCU below ceiling. usually you can fit it so it's behind 1 corner of the TV, if you want it out of sight.

Love it made me laugh on a sunday morning! Or eastenders.

OP - dont know layout of your house but thats only problem I see, if isolator tucked up in the loft 5 mins away. Up to you. Can't you put it in a cupboard or surface mount it by ceiling?

Spur off the ring to a 3A fsu in loft feeding supply cable to tv and put one of these on the supply cable tucked just behind the telly but make sure you can reach it without using steps.
