Sorry mate both of your post are really hard to understand, you need to take your time and build your sentences correctly
Duane I could be wrong but looking at your qualifications, it seems that you may be a trainee, not having a dig at you but if you are indeed a trainee, then my advice would be to ask the Mods foe access to the Trainee section, you will find more sympathetic help in that area, if you have a copy of BS 7671 then take a look at Appendix 15

nothing wrong with it in osg (yellow amd3) page 183 (green p175 amd 2011)

because the fcu is a fixed load you are providing overload protection downstream so it cannot overload.

(wire to them in 2.5 next time or better incorporate then into the ring)

If you have fitted an FCU into the ring then the cable on the load side of the FCU can be 1.5mm² as the current is limited to 13A and 1.5mm² is the minimum csa for power.

If you take a 1.5mm² cable and join it to the ring and then put an FCU on the end of the then the 1.5mm² cable may be able to take the full 32A current and this would be incorrect.
It is technically permissible as backward fusing but generally would not be correct without care.

Who told you the regs book is 'wrong'? Get them to put it in writing and get them to state why their opinion should take precedence over the regs.

Far too little information.
Who is the person who cribbed your work ? what was the original job ? how exactly was it installed ? which regulations specifically are in question ?

I haven't been this confused about a thread for a while....and what is 'cribbed' just out of interest or did the spellchecker do a number on your post?
