I agree with above posts, think he's just stuck in his ways. I've got a contract wiring up park homes and all the feeds go to the switch because the lights are either downlights or fancy light fittings.

Hi please can somebody help me
i got 4 lighting cables in back of the switch, on one it says bathroom switch, 2nd one it say hall switch and the other 2 hav no writing on them but 1 is live. The lights are both 1 way..it's 2 gang switch I usually do loop in at ceiling and take switch from there but I never done it this way please can u explain to me in detail

we always wire feed to switch because if there start with a pendent light then change there mind cus women seen a nice light hard to make off all the cables in the space give!
Fancy modern lights don't come with a loop in terminal, so it's easier to terminate them if you've only got one cable at the light.Wtf !!!!!!!!!!!.............
