female electrician

I'm a female electrician and struggling to find full time employment in the greater Manchester area. Anyone any ideas much appreciated

Try get on big job with big company .. I just can't picture you up a ladder mounting lights or moving cabinets to get to a fault ... But doesn't mean you can't be boss . Just apply for anything and everything.. We all the same ..

Sorry Leigh, but that really pee's me off. I am ALL for women in this trade and many others, but we don't get all the blokes thinking they need to start a post with "I'm a male", so stop trying to use the novelty value as some cheap workaround. If you want equality then you have to accept that there are an awful lot of sparks, irrespective of gender, looking for work at the moment and just stand in line with the rest of them.

I said it to get attention and it worked didn't it just like when I am on site I get attention because of my gender. And yes I am able to move cabinets to find a fault and up a ladder to mount a light. I am an electrician not disabled. I came on this forum for help and advice and i have received criticism like never before.
