Would it be considered bad practice to ferrule Twin and earth conductors?

Adam, you wouldn't add cef's to solid cable, only to stranded. It would add nothing to solid, imo

Using a ferrule to terminate increases the contact area of the termination making it more reliable. It's common practice on a high spec job even with solid core wiring.
