Yes, many things are made of GRP, but it isn’t one specific material, it can be one of a number of different plastics. Plus there will be different grades and a range of additives/coatings.

I was amazed, after purchasing a Werner clone of the Little Giant, just how heavy that ladder can be to carry and maneuver. There are loads of metal folded up inside one of those things. I decided to not buy one for myself but I am already 63. Probably could not even get it up the stairs in a couple of years, I guess I will need a rope like here
