Fibreglass frenzy

How do you deal with it?
I mean when you haveto work in a loft for a couple of weeks crawling around the stuff get up your arms, in your eyes, down your pants, everywhere and itches like hell.
Have you any tips for dealing with this affliction that we all have to share?

throw it all out and re-insulate with kingspan between the roof rafters. nice loft.

I might have a word with him about this as the council are offering to do this loft insulation for free lark.
Kingspan you say, I don't know much about it.
I will have to do a bit of reading.

Paper overalls every time.

its like polstyrene packing with aluminium foil both sides. 3" thick. check it out at your local builders' merchant, but i think it's too expensive for councils unless you are an illegal immigrant of course.

Is that what they call celotex as well?

think so, but i never heard of celotex. praps its a trade name not used up here

Many years ago I worked in a big fibreglass factory for a few months it's surprising how you become desensitised to it when you work around it alot

Barrier Cream and a mask, helps a bit
