Hi quick question, we are a maintenance team in a factory, sometimes we have jobs that carry on to the next shifts, sometimes up to 3 people could be working on a job at different times, how do you go about filling out a certificate, should you just list all the installers and signitures on a seperate page? And the person testing and inspecting seperate? Someone has said before that one person should take resposibilty for the whole thing but how could that person be sure there is nothing wrong without physically being there watching every cable pulled in and every termination? Thanks

Same as it’s always been done when there’s maybe a team of 4, for example, and only one tester.

you can’t personally watch how everyone else works.

EICs should list the Designer, Installer and Tester of a circuit… Installer could be 1 person taking responsibility, or a list of all persons that have worked on it.

As signatory, you are certifying on behalf of the company you work for.

Okay thanks for the reply, i think thats the best route, list the main person running the job and testing and then all others that have worked on the job seperately.
