Hello, over the past few years I have been doing electrical courses in college and now I'm completing my apprenticeship I am wondering what I can do next.

I have:
City and guilds 2357 NVQ Level 3 Apprenticeship
City and guilds 2397 Initial verification
City and guilds 2382 17th Edition
NET AM2 Assessment of electrotechnical occupational competence.
City and guilds 2330 (Level 2)

I'm told I can do the AAC, Advanced Assessment of Competence (Welcome to National Electrotechnical Training Ltd | About_Net - http://www.netservices.org.uk/aac/) 2 years after I took my AM2, however I want to know what else I can do in the meantime.

Any advice would be appreciated.

When I completed my AM2 they advised me that it would be cheaper and better to take the AAC as opposed to the 2394/5 due to the cost of taking those.

It's £396 INC VAT for the ACC. but I am unsure if with the ACC, I'm allowed to test other people's work.

Are there any other benefits in doing the 2394/5 compared with the ACC?

It would make you more employable having the 2394/5 over the ACC. You only need to look at job adverts.....the ones on the better end of the pay scale say 2394/5 etc

Hi Jamie - seeing your other interests perhaps look up CCNP. Cheers, David.

This is something I think I would enjoy doing, I have done some basic networking and switch setups in the past, however this is something my local college doesn't support so I will need to look into where I can do this.

Thanks for the suggestion :)

As it happens I do have a diploma in engineering but I see your point I will change it
