Im installing a fire alarm system in a student let, It includes one heat detector and three smokes. I believe it is grade D LD2. It is powered from a regularly used lighting circuit. Can i issue a minor works or does it need to be a EIC. Also do I need to get a third party to commission and certificate the system under the fire regs.
I must point out that this is being installed due to the new Licensing of Houses of Mulitiple Occupancy by local council, so everything needs to be correct as dealing with bods from enviromental services.
