Magnetic hold backs are a little different to a door mag lock.
The hold backs release (allowing doors to close) on sounder activation.

The maglock will release on Sounder Activiation, but as mentioned earlier the door will lock again if the sounders are silenced.

My misunderstanding lol!! Never had to install an actual door ''locking'' system to any of the fire alarm systems on our projects, all locked security doors opened by a simple mechanical internal bar release... Which often ended-up being padlocked anyway, in the Middle East!! lol!!! A Mag door system (if installed) would also be defeated as an emergency exit...lol!!
