Hi I've been asked to wire a supply for a fire alarm panel from a db that is supplied by a submain. Is this ok as I have always wired it from the main board at the income.

yes this is ok but you have to make sure that every board is labeled as supplying a fire alarm do not isolate this has to be done all the way back to the start of the installation

Fire alarms are now wire off DB or essential DB if fitted, wired in enhanced FP200 or Piro to Double pole, lockable fuse spur adjacent to panel.

After 2002, it was considered, that a standard or esential db board was adiquit to supply a fire alarm panel. As you state prior to this, the supply was taken direct from the incomer.
