I've got to fill in an approx schedule for adding certain items to existing Fire Alarm Systems in domestic properties.

The items in question are:

Mains Smoke detectors
Fire Exit Decals
Heat Detectors
Door Dittons
Flashing Light Smoke Alarms

Is there a schedule anywhere I can get ideas of these prices from. For example I do a lot of work in domestic properties for RSL's and use the NHF 5 Rates a lot.

Can anyone give me any information on where I can gain the info I require, or any advice on what I should be charging, the work is a contract in the north of England.

Thanks again Gents!!

Just about to start a refurb of a 5 bedroom house.

Contacted Aico and the Rep. came and gave me info when i was there quotin for the job. Gave me coppies of there stuff and said he will pop in during install and testing to issue certificate.

They do lots of different units and they can be interlinked too.

Aico are very helpful. I have one of their contractors guide books, I think you can request one through their website.
It's full of very useful info regarding installation of domestic smoke and CO detectors.

I fit the Rafiki 2 wire system. Proper doddle. The sounders are combined detector sounders, and have dip switches so they can be set to whatever the requirements are i.e Smoke, heat, combined,Rising Temp etc etc. In my area the requirements are Heat in the individual bedsits and Smoke in communal corridors, cellar spaces and exit route.
You can get this system from Screwfix but it is only a basic kit with six sounder/detectors. I get a great deal from local merchants when i need 13 or 14 plus 5 or 6 callpoints.
I took advice from the relevant BS number on the web and also consulted the local council HMO ( House of Multiple Occupancy)licencing office

For normal run of the mill smoke and heat alarms i also use Aico and can only confirm that they are very good.
