Hi all.

Ive changed companies and been asked to carry out fire alarm testing. I'm happy with this and feel fine doing it, but what i Havant got is many access codes for different makes of fire alarms panels, Please could you send me the make of panel with to code. Also i quick question, i see that you can download a fire alarm handbook for quick references but can you buy one in a hard back copy. Just want one to references when carrying out these test.

Thankds

Just google the model and brand with the word access code and you can usually find it its not as simple as just giving a list of codes you will need the engineers instructions in most cases as the access codes differ for user and engineer and the test options and set-ups will need to be known... i just fitted a Twinflex panel and just having the engineer and user codes won't really be enough as all choices and options are numerical inputs and not knowing them will have you messing the settings up.

I think you really need to speak to your boss and ask him about supplying you the bumph on various panels so you can test them and confirm their set-up is correct, otherwise you are just setting off full alarms throughout the testing and this can be most disruptive to a company.
