fire detection test

Hi all

can any one tell me if any papers are needed to do a piriodic test of a 1year old fire alarm system or will the experiance i have with this system make me a compitant person.

I would say your experience of BS 5839 will dictate your level of competence.
There are Periodic Inspection Report forms to be used for fire alarm inspections, here's an example:

Competence is so important in this field, I believe there was a legal case only a few weeks ago, documented in a post on these forums.
