First MFT - thoughts on Di LOG 9083p?

Good evening!

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the Di Log 9083p 17th edition MFT. I am looking to get my first MFT and this seems to be coming up as a nice cheapish "starter" one compared to the more expensive Fluke and Megger ones available second hand. They are popping up on Ebay for around £165 and an extra few quid for postage, and then no doubt need recalibrated.

However I have only ever really used the newer Fluke MFTs while testing so I've been a tad spoiled, so with that in mind I have a few questions in general about it for those who have used it:
Does it work well during Zs tests in regard to not tripping RCDs?
Does the build quality feel cheap or is it of a reasonable standard?
Is it easy to use as it looks?

Any thoughts or input on the subject would be greatly appreciated!

I wouldn't be seen dead with Di-log stuff myself, but I expect its really OK.

The MFT's are OK actually, keep one on the truck for fault finding.
Had it for years, never had a problem with it & it's just passed calibration again this year.

@DavidSpark Sorry missed the bit about tripping RCD's during loop testing, can't say I've ever had that problem with the Di log.

Honestly mate, not a lot that I can see. Adding the P & calling them 17th edition certainly got some people to upgrade though & made good money.

Do not get a Metrel. KT63 is good better than Di log. If you are doing a lot of tests they over heat and you have to stop testing til it cools.

Probably exactly the same tester Re badged. Every time the regs change, test equipment manufacturers rub their hands in glee.

Hello my first tester was di-log 9083P good cheap and easy tester like first one is good choice after di log i have Fluke 1653 now i use Fluke 1654b just i want change on Megger 1730.
