First PV Install

I Hope that you never have a warranty issue with these modules as the way you have installed them will invalidate the warranty.

See pages 5 & 6 for a hint http://www.posharp.com/Businesses/f...General_Installation_Manual__HDE4__090807.pdf hope you havent done too many more like this ignoring the mounting tollerance.

It would be nice to have a perfect workshop or laboratory scenario on the roof I suppose to be able to comply fully with the manufacture's of the panels and mounting system instruction, not that these ever seem to agree with each other. Not knowing what exactly is under the array it is difficult to know what's where but granted the rails do seem a bit far apart. How ever the bottom panels should have anti slides on them and some of these only allow the bottom rail to be no more than 80mm from the bottom of the panel.
At the end of the day roof rafters depict roof mounts and rail positions. But I do agree if there were warranty issues they would question the distance between rails if it is as assumed. Snow loading would be my biggest worry in the centre of the panels.
Other than that is looks a good installation for a first one. Believe me I've seen much worse and by so called professional national company also!
There is a step learning curve with PV but that's what this Forum is for is it not? No one's everything.

I agree ideally we would have liked to be a bit more within the tolerances, were not that far out side them to be fair and to be honest it was our first one! we learnt from this one and did what we could (we added anti-slides after the photos, supplier delivered couple of days later)

Great to see some one who is keen and "real" as far as solar. I also like the way your web site is a great source of information. Well done posting the pictures. Hope to have more to do with you in the future guys.
