you need to fit a 47mm galv. back box. some need a double box, and some can be fitted to a single box.

Damn, i went to TLC to grab the 45a outlet connection. But it didn't come with the backing plate. The faceplate doesn't look as though it'll screw onto the backing plate you posted. The screw holes need to be in the centre of the width rather than on the length side of it.

show a pic of the connection unit. it may fit a single box.

if so, you bend the top and bottom lugs back .

Its the one telectrix posted. Exactly the same.

As you can see the screws are located on the width of the outlet rather than the length. It definitely wont fit a single one.

they fit onto a single back box, as post#17.

Doh!, that explains it perfectly. Thank you.

They do stick out by nearly an inch using a metal back box. I have found sometimes it can be a bit of a squeeze with some ovens.

When I order them (usually 10 at a time) I usually order around five of the specific surface patresses for them also.

Yeah that is why i was stumped, because on ebay theres a seller doing it in 3pcs -front plate, backplate and internals.
