Hurrah ! my favourite !
a pointless thread that gets outta hand quick with some insults thrown in for good measure.
Its like the troll equivolent of a moth drawn to a flame.
i hope buccaneer comes back to play some more

:-D
Only in the new year I'm afraid.

Here's a brain teaser...

A Fixed Wire Electrical Test needs to be undertaken in accordance with the requirements of BS7671 and Guidance Note 3. The test is based on a square meterage floor area e.g. a High School of 12,000m2 requires a Periodic Test and Inspection. This work will need to be done during term time and between normal working hours 7.30am to 5.00pm.
What square meterage floor area would you expect a team of two test engineers to satisfactorily complete in 1 day on this site.
(Please provide calculations and rationale)

Iv seen this question in a recent local authority tender application. The whole tender seems to be bias in favour of the big boys or the holder of the existing contract. I think they are trying to put off smaller ops by scaring them away with a complicated tender application.

I refuse to believe thats a genuine question anywhere. Unforseen circumstances / things not going according to plan, can happen absolutley anywhere, and can strike at any time....and they most often happen when you're about to rap the job up to **** you off even more.

+ if i did see that as a question, my answer would be "you're a clueless ...."

I daren't attempt to write the word in dot's, untill my current infraction runs out anyway haha.

Ill give you a clue though, it rhymes with hunt, and its not runt.

he was only with us for a fleeting moment, but i miss buccaneer. why is it, all the brightest stars burn out the fastest? ........... bring back buccaneer!

It does seem a very odd question, which is the reason for my post and it did make me think twice about tendering, which was of course its intention. But I'm not one to give up that easy, especially in this case as I know who has the current contract and they are a big company who do a range of stuff from electrics to gas and plumbing for most of the local authorities in my county. But this contract is specifically for fixed wire test and remedial repairs only, easy if some what boring, but hey its a job. The trick is to submit a tender so good they have to call you in for a chat.
