Hi has anyone used Schletter's ClampFit-H product for fixing modules directly to the roof sheet - see below:
ClampFit-H product for landscape mounting on a trapezoidal roof sheet. This
is a rail-less fastening system, which incorporates a module
clamp integrated into the fastener. No rails required.

If yes - how do you rate it? We are looking at using it for an install in landscape for a new roof with box profile roof sheets with 4inch of insulation underneath it.

Check out K2's Minirail solution too, if you want to go down that route. They are both fast and easy solutions, and carriage costs are minimal due to no long rails being shipped

Now do that on an aluminium kalzip roof using kalzip seam clamps :)

There are a couple of systems similar to Schletter's "ClampFit-H" such as Clenergy "eZRack" and Renusol's "Metasole". We stock the latter and I could be wrong but think this was the first system to negate the use of rail on trapezoidal section coverings.

If anyone is considering using the Renusol system for the first time, (on top of the advice we can give) Renusol are happy to have one of their reps attend site for a morning to help you set out in the most efficient and accurate way.

Thanks for that - just had a look at the datasheet and will be getting a price for the mini rail as looks a less fiddly then the clampH also have been told by our suppliers that it is on a 4-6 week lead time!

Thanks. We're a small company and do mostly domestic installs but that S-5 looks great, will definitely be considering that for any future installs with standing seam roof. We had a nightmare before trying to find suitable brackets for a Euroclad standing seam roof for a community building, with brand new roof that we couldn't penetrate as it would invalidate the warranty. Is there a UK distributor for S-5?

I know - I was suprised at lead time as thought it would be really popular for bigger commercial systems. They said it was relatively new and they hadn't supplied it to anyone in the UK before which I thought was sort of strange and is why I wanted to find out from other installers if they had any experience of it. If you can send me an email address I'll forward a layout dwg for a quote tomorrow. Job is for a local community hall and they haven't got a big budget but the mini-rail looks like it will make a big saving on the install cost.
