Flat plate screwless sockets etc.

Evening all. I have a job coming up to replace all the white accessories with flat plate screwless ones. I haven't used these before, just wanted any heads up from anyone who has. Is there anything special I need to do or any problems I might experience?

and they looked ok? i always find flate plate looks crap sitting proud on the flanges of a fast fix box

Dot and dab walls with metal boxes fixed so no probs there. They are stood off slightly with clear gaskets which could help with fastafix.

So you don't believe in periodic testing and inspection, then?

Depends if you've done the job in the first place, i suppose. If so, why remove ? If not, who's worry ?

I fitted a kitchen with these screwless sockets, and a cooker switch, one word Nightmare !

they are a pain in the arse on tiles, co syou have to have the grid loose enough so that the front can snap on, but too loose and they move about, so you tighten them up and then you cant get the front on grrrrrrr:censored:

I hope they are Schneider, for your sake. Somehow, I doubt it though. Good luck. Oh, and watch for finger smudging the metal finish.

The Schneider fit solid and then the face clips on, good idea.

They came from eb&y so they could be anything. There's not a lot I can do if the walls aren't flat, I'm just gonna have a direct conversation with her before I start.

schneider ultimate screwless, i have them in my own kitchen. the white metal ones look good
