UK Fluke 1664FC setting

I recently bought a Fluke 1664FC. It's great but recently I chose to do a loop test on the no trip setting. Plugged the 3 wires in but noticed the screen says it's set for a L-N test with only Live and Neutral plugged in. I pressed F1 button to change this to L-PE, the tester beeps but it doesn't change. Anyone know why that might be? Cheers

Disclaimer: I'm not a Fluke expert by any means.
I think that if it can detect a pd between L and N and not between L & E it won't let you choose a mode involving E.

My follow up questions would be:
-does it let you change modes using F1 without any test leads connected
-what do you get if you connect all three leads and choose "V" mode. does it show there is a potential difference between L and E?
-had you previously proved a main earth connection and an R1+R2 for this circuit?
-can you reproduce this at home?

Do you have the user guide. If not I will put the link at the end of the mail. May be worth checking that the meter has been set for UK usage. See Table 9 of the manual page 17 regarding that L-N swap mode has not been set for UK usage. Also are you sure that the circuit that you tested has no underlying problems, it may be that the meter has prevented the test as it has either detected a pd on the E or a pd missing L-E. Was this resolved? Same issue with mine, and I note that it auto-starts the test in Hi Current loop test mode if L-PE is selected, even with the leads unplugged! Obviously it's detecting a spurious voltage between L and PE. I'm sorry to say that it seems Fluke's glowing reputation for making unreliable testers is well-deserved. Mine's two years old and has had only light use.
