I wanted to change rose light for a fluorescent, but found going into the rose are 3 twin and earth and one single line, I disconnected it before taking note.
how do I wire the florescent up,I just thought it would be a case of finding supply and switch and wire usually.
I just thought it was a case of find supply and switch and wiring as usual.
The CB supplies an intruder alarm and the lights from this is 1 twin and earth and 1 single line.

Yes if it is what you mean by loop it feeds another light. I have 4 lines 3 neutral unfortunately I cut before taking note.
How would I wire the fluorescent?
All you need to do is identify the switch wire, I would do this by belling out each cable between the red and the black, with the switch in either position, one should be a dead short with the switch in on position, obviously you will have to do it with the power off!

Well that was clever plus the circuit you have isolated has a burglar alarm on it with the battery running down

Also stop say 4 lines what does that mean if it means 4 twin & Earth cables that have red and black then say so

If this is the case I note you have a few posts on here dont be offended but what is your skill level

It can be done, it just means looping in inside the fluorescent fitting instead of the rose.
As mentioned you just need to bell out the switch so you know what goes where.

What's this 'single line' which you've got?

I did consider this but ended up going with this one. I wired it inline with the lives and works great.

It would normally be the outer terminals where the flex of the pendant drop connect.
