Fitted 7 of these today in a property of unknown electrical quality. The board was well-labelled but old colours.
After fitting, they seemed a little flickery, and then went off and began continuously trying and failing to start.
Thought I was going to have a nightmare sorting them out, but all I did was check the connections at what I assumed was the first one, they seemed fine but I gave them an extra tweak just in case and flick the switched line off and on.
Then the longer they were left on, the better they seemed to get.
I was baffled, it can't even be anything to do with the battery back-up as it's completely separate, electrically.
So if anyone else has this happen, before you start ripping them apart again give them half an hour or so.
Very strange!
