I now have my laptop (windows 10, Chrome) displaying the same post, and that is fine, although there now appears to be nothing distinguishing the quoted text from the new post.
The particular post that I'm looking at is mainline's post #23 in the legal dope thread, where, on my android phone only, "on such matters" and "click to expand..." are superimposed on each other. Two strings of text occupying the same part of the screen.

I was going to say that sounds like a style issue.

Only happening as jQuery has been dropped from the software so the style is a whole new one.

Doesn't seem to want to auto switch over. And if it does on one device it may need manually doing on another.

That is exactly what I found. With the two screens side by side, showing the same post, it was fairly obvious.

I've ballsed up the time again. The buttons are there in the text box they're just not visible. Will fix it in the morning first thing.

Staff can use styles that are turned off mate. I'd switch it to the blue and white one as that one will be erased once I've pinched some customisations from it.

Scroll right down to bottom of page and find the “style” icon.
On my phone, it looks like a paint brush.

You can force it to use the old style, or the newer one.

I find with the newer one, the menu at top stays at the top of page, but turns transparent… running over the top of other content.

Only staff can see styles not in use.

Use the blue and white asap because once that orange one gets erased you may find cache issues.

It'll also me missing some of the new features like dark mode for e.g.

Okay I've gone through all our bugs and fixed them one by one like a good boy.

Style you HAVE to be on (Inc staff who can select incorrect styles and they run but have bugs) is BLUE AND WHITE.

PLEASE CHANGE YOUR STYLE IF IT HASNT ALREADY CHANGED FOR YOU.
