Just been told that vqtraining have a limited number of train2gain (funded) NVQ's.

To qualify for train2gain funding you must NOT have a level 3 certificate already (you can be working towards this, but you cannot already have it), also must be working in the industry and have a level 2 certifcate (not compulsory though).

If interested, I would rush as they only have a few places left.

A work based recorder was thought up by quickstep, one of the original e-portfolios and is sometimes used for apprentices. This is not required by guilds. As stated before only an assessor can sign portfolio units off.
Chris apply at www.vqtrain.com for the NVQ if you wish to fund it yourself.

In fairness it was done before the days of "e-portfolios" because mine was all paper based and required a Work-Based Recorder, however it was as part of the JIB Apprentice Training Scheme.

I am a 2356-31 assessor and internal verifier. The requirements for supplimentary evidence are that all items of evidence which supports your logbook have to be signed and dated by 1. the candidate, 2. their work based recorder (usually a supervisor) and 3. the assessor. The evidence will be sampled (can be 100% sample) by the Internal verifier and checked by the awarding body external verifier.
