Evening Gents.
I'm one of those Royal Engineer sparkies that has 2391 and 17th ed but has never been in a loft space or chased out a wall till I left the forces. Having to make a big jump now, I've been given a break after floating around with a few different companies casually and I want to get up to speed and earning ok money quick sticks. I'm planning to get on the forums and pick up a few hints and tricks that it might take years to see on site. I've had a flirt with commercial but I'm doing new boiler controls for the council now. With a veteran spark for a few weeks or a month and then go on my own.
I've got a bit of means to get kit so I feel like I'm at an advantage early on.
Slightly nervous about keeping track of everything financially as a sole trader, also considering when I'm going to need a van. Well that's me...
