The installation of audio system in the house require special care. As its wiring should be underground and fully secure. The speaker should be well set on the corners.

would you like me to help you design a household system and select the parts needed (as well as the cheapest places to buy them) that won't be a problem just let me know and I will get a list of speakers etc written up for you to give you an idea...

Sorry to hijack the thread, didn't want to start a new one, I am going to be installing some audio in both my kitchen and lounge soon. Looking at maybe sonos in the kitchen but would like to run this through a couple of ceiling speakers if possible. For the lounge I'd like to play music but also use it for surround sound from the TV, again ideally through ceiling speakers. I am based in Kilmarnock but work mostly in Glasgow. You seem pretty knowledgeable on the subject so was wondering if you'd be willing to help me out also. Thanks.

yes no problem :)

I installed an opus system just before Xmas, most untidy system I've ever seen, impossible to keep neat also sound quality was terrible may have been the speakers to be honest didn't look for a brand or quality as customer had supplied it all

I have your list ready to email to you as a PDF as it is too big to put onto here, you might want to look at the ceiling speakers on the cricklewood Electronics website as well, they have special kitchen and bathroom ceiling (flush fitting) ones
