Times are hard, and money is short for some companies - its a sad reality, ive had no pv enquires for weeks now. But trade prices at retail exhibitions is not good. Infact shame on the supplier for selling MCS product to non MCS persons - but its no different to B&Q selling a new fuse board to non competent person. It sucks but theres nothing we can do about it.

We just couldn't cover our costs at £1500 and I don't see the point in working for nothing. I thought 8k for 4kwp was bad enough but under 6!!

i know what you mean, its a keen price, all that training and responsibility, it aint worth it imho.

I just can't see how you can get structural survey, EPC, full scaffolding (it's a big house), marketing, insurance, roofers, sparky, fuel, out of £1500 - my overheads are £500 a jobs to start with based on 70 jobs a year.

AND they hadn't a clue what they were talking about. Maybe that's the clue - care less, don't do the paperwork and sell crap. ONly problem is I've got a conscience!
