Just thought id share my find whilst testing a flat.
Customer had a 16A german plug in tandori oven (with euro style plug) plugged in to a 1A toothbrush adaptor with tinfoil for a fuse plugged in to the kitchen ring.
He asked if i wouldnt mind having a look while i was there doing an eicr.
The inside of the plugtop was a nice shade of brown, mixed with melted plastic. The wall socket was all ok, no signs of damage.
He has been advised to stop using it, and put back the smoke dectors he took down because of it.
Anyone else had a fun find today?
