Fuse box replacement cost surrey

Hi we have had a electrical installation condition report done (2 bed maisonette) which highlighted some issues all of which can be sorted by replacing old fusebox (installed in the 80s) we have been quoted £500 for installing an 8 way fuse board incl parts. The works are expected to take half a day. The site is in London Borough of Sutton. Is that within standard price range for this job?

I'd say it's a very good price for the area. I charge between 5 to 6 hundred in the West Midlands.
Of course there will be differences in price according to the type of consumer unit fitted and the quality of the materials.

as above ^^^. a 8 way RCBO board here would bre around £500. a dual RCD board £350.

What parts? if in includes RCBO's (Instead of MCB's)and SPD then very good price for Surrey!

sutton is about 25 mins from me , if you are being quoted £500 for a board change it’s a very fair price. I would be £600-800 for an 8 circuit rcbo board.

I’m the same as Dusty, just over the border. £500 is a keen price.
ask what type board board you're getting .May be a split load RCD screwfix special.
