fuse thingies

Can anyone tell me where I can get one of those little fuse thingies that goes inside a 13 amp plug top??

I want an 8 amp one.

Seen a few on eBay mate.

I went to Whitley Bay but it was closed, so I thought about trying Morcambe Bay but can't afford the petrol on my pension.

Cross out the number 13 and write 8 instead

Surely it would make a much neater job if you simply joined up the gaps on a 3 to make an 8!

pm me somewhere to post them and I will put a couple of 10A, 7A and 2A fuses in the mail to you first class post so that you have some of them in your box, they are hard to find in wholesalers but they get used a lot now in laptop/netbook power supply plugtops as well as in TV's and some fused connections....

Amp David, I have NEVER had a problem with girth, never had a problem with length either come to think of it.

Plug it into a dedicated socket on a radial protected by an 8A MCB.
Simples.

Now thats got to be the best idea. Bugger, who sells an 8 amp MCB for a chint CU? Its ok i'll use one from a CED one instead.

Just use 2x 4A MCBs in parallel.

Is there anything in the Big Brown Book that says I can't use cable ties instead of insulting tape?

I'm thinking the tape may lose its stickiness when the fuses get hot.

It doesn't say you can't use Blu-Tac - I've checked.
