Hi guys just wondering if someone can help me out here. I've been asked to install a metal hand dryer in a toilet block but the fused connection unit for it will fall within touching distance of the sinks.I've had a look at the regs but I'm still a bit unsure. Will the FCU need to go above the ceiling or will it be ok to go beside the hand dryer as long as the circuit is protected by an RCBO.Thanks

well if your going to spoil our fun I'm going the pub then.

If it wasn't a ÂŁ130 taxi fare I'd join you!

edit.... so come midnight Dillb stumbles back home 3 sheets to the wind with a donky kabab under his arm, logs on and starts ranting about CU stickers and Klik flex's. Cant wait

Have a good night mate.

There used to be a really good kebab shop at the top of Whiteladies Road in Brisle! It used to be a favourite stop off on the way back from Friday evening kayaking in the pool in the UofB Students Union. None of that doner rubbish, though that was on offer; lamb and chicken ... real meat! To keep you going over the downs to the halls of residence!

What makes you think there would be a reg for the spur to be mounted where you suggested?

I have limited space in the toilet block and was unsure where I could mount the FCU with it being near a sink.I thought that there might be a reg as there are regs on special locations bathrooms ect and zones within bathrooms.Just wanted to check with others before I started.
