Daughter has bought a house and it has a home security system, G-Tag setup. Issue is the alarm panel displays are pixelated and you cant see anything on either display.

The 0V was disconnected from both panels so it couldnt be set, Ive connected them in and I am able to set the alarm ok but when I enter the house to deactivate the alarm the controls panels alarm until I enter the code to stop it.

Also the back up battery has been disconnected from the main electronics control board, havent tested the battery to see if its holding charge or not, will check tomorrow.

What Im wanting to know is, is their a unit elsewhere for a more audible alarm, as the keypad units wont scare anyone off. Or anyone recommend an upgrade system to get it up and running as money will need spent on keypad units at the very least anyway. Every room in the house has PIR sensors and all work so hoping its just a keypad unit upgrade needed but after some advice if possible.

Thanks

These keypads are obsolete and replacements are hard to find, I've replaced loads now with failing displays. Sounds like something isn't programmed correctly if it alarms on entry. Most alarms have additional internal speaker or siren as well as external siren. Remote monitoring is extremely useful and often a requirement if an insurance company is requesting an alarm be installed. You can install inferno internal sirens if you really want to make intruders turn around.
