my garage door is no longer extaneous conductive part ....!! it fell off hinges last night!! good luck house is within the bloody warranty!! had to shore it up with lumps of timber and wedges to stop little gypsies and kids nicking my gear!
on other hand!!!! what about aluminium Windows!! do i need to go and earth grannys windows!! never know that hidden current that lurks in the bricks might jump out and kill her!!

Have you never seen one of those earthing flappy things that were popular for cars in the 90s, I had one on my ford escort, it was properly earthed. I can only think that your garage door has earthed itself due to your neglect, lets hope Grannies windows dont do the same.
Foe goodness sake get that 10mm out of the van you stingy bugger!
