Garage install price

I just put a price in for a garage install. It is 25 meters of 4mm 3 core. About 7 lenghts of tube, a couple of strip lights and 5 sockets. Is £450 too much as a price? Sorry Im new to the pricing game.

Adaptors/boxes,saddles, metal clad sockets/white plastic sockets, wheres it being fed from? does it need a new breaker, is it having its own CU? is the power a radial is it a ring, is the lighting spured off the power via a FCU, how much do you charge a day/hour? are you Part p registered will you have to notify building control etc etc etc, £450? sound ok if you know the spec

Just out of curiosity why did you fit IP rated lights but standard plastic accessories?

Wanted hi freq/hard wearing and low maintainance, find best value way is the ip65.

Can clout these with an oar or broom handle!!!

Customers garage was insulated, boarded and painted white, I did offer to put MK metal clad but he didnt like the appearance or want to pay for them.

If it was my garage I think this was also what I would have done.

Obviously if using it for a workshop I may have twisted his arm, but for chest freezer and battery charger, torch etc feel his choice was right.

About to start an oak garage/cart lodge customer wants antique brass sockets and switches with designer lighting shinning on his car collection......Customer gets what they want at the end of the day!

Just out of curiosity why did you fit IP rated lights but standard plastic accessories?

Presume they were corrosion resistant fittings. If them in places such as garages as they come complete with diffuser/cover

Yes David, also as you were writing this I was adding that you can clout these fittings with broom handles/ oars etc much more appropriate to a garage.
