Hi, I'm after some more pricing help if you can, for labour costs from businesses signing off their own domestic work. I'm in the midlands. Assuming RCD and bonding etc is ok, carpet and floor access is fine, chased in, average cable length, and you can crack on, test and certificate if applicable. Thanks a lot in advance if anyone does this (copy and paste). LABOUR ONLY.

These are things that you will have to figure out for your self.
estimate how many hours it will take you and quote it using your standard rate.

it depends on the following (not exhaustive list)

if you are working alone or with a mate
can you park on site
can you safely leave tools and equipment on site overnight
type of wall / ceilings you may have to cut / chase
space / access to working areas
difficulty of cable routing
quantity and quality of Tea and biscuits offered

and for some of the younger sparks, quotation amounts are inversely proportional to the length of skirt worn by the lady of the house. ;) ;) ;)

We wouldn't recommend people do this, especially in the public forums. But we have the Electricians Arms which is out of public view where you can discuss pricing but I doubt you'd get responses quite so detailed. It'd be more job pricing guidance etc

Only you know your business costs.

Although it might appear that I am being elusive with the facts,

the point is, only you know what your worth is per hour and how long it will take you to complete these tasks.
I found when i was first starting out that i was under quoting most jobs and it was only by documenting how long it actually took compared to what i had estimated that i realised i had to add 30% to most of my estimates.
