Shocked to hear this sad news.

Disappointed to think he's left his family to pick up the pieces cos he couldn't ride his darkest hour.

I wonder how bad things really get before contemplating such a final act.

We always things are worse when they happen to us.

Gary Speed was instrumental in the Premiereship being what it is today. I have total respect for this great player and manager but most of all human being

I am with all the previous comments, but to say i was stunned is an understatement. I never supported any of the teams he played for, but as a football fan, i have a lot of respect Gary Speed and his like in the game. A very sad loss to the world, not just as a footballing man, but as a person. How the hell his family cope with the loss is not even imaginable. Only he knows why he did it, and that stays with him.

Sympathis to his family saw him on saturday , have seen him build a great welsh football team and could well have taken wales to another level realy sad day for all in foot ball
