Does the water bond have to go back to the met? Was asked to quote to add a water bond today but the meter is nearly 1/2 a mile away from the unit I'm working in?

The mainequipotential bonding connection to any gas or other services shall be made as near as practicable to the point of entry of that service into the premises............................................. and made within 600mm of the meter outlet union or at the point of entry to the building if the meter is external

I would be very surprised if there is not a stop tap in the building you are talking about if it is half a mile from the meter.

Im sure there will be a stop tap in the building and bond 600mm away from that if possible.
