Can anyone tell me the best lugs to use for the termination of an outside 10mm earth to a gas pipe?

All exposed cable to earth rod connections (apart from exothermic or braze welded connections) should be protected against adverse environment conditions. Depending on the type of connection made, either adhesive lined heat shrink, or correctly applied amalgamating tape, should be provided to completely encapsulate the connection...

Shouldn't they also be mechanically protected so would lend its self towards a earth rod box? Or are you talking about heat shrink In additional to a box? I realise the op is talking about a bond though.

Also so heat shrink is kind of permanent so it can be that easy to inspect the actual connection would be my other though.

Any chance of locating the gas bond somewhere accessible inside? That would be my preference, even if not within the recommended 600mm from the entry point.

Edit: By the way, I assume that this is a bond not an earth connection (I'm guessing the pipe is already 'earthed').

That's lovely, but the question was about bonding to a gas pipe ;)
