Hi guys, My name is Jamie, and I'm new to the forum! I live in Lincolnshire, and have recently been made redundant. Due to a lack of work in this area, I'm looking at going further afield. I may have a start at Gatwick airport next week, but I wanted to see if any of you guys had been there, and ask if any of you knew any good places to park? I've done all the google searches, but it all comes back related to holiday parking for users of the airport. Just wondered if any of you could point me in a direction of anywhere nearby where I can use local buses into the airport etc, or whether you think its just better to use one of the many "Holiday" car parks by booking in etc? Thanks in Advance!!! P.s sorry if this is in the wrong place. I did do a search of this before I posted to check it hadn't been covered before, but couldn't find anything!

ask the company you will be working for if they have some staff parking arrangement.

Hi Amlu, thanks for your reply, although I've already been told a definite no by the employer, so just trying to sound out others who may be able to share experiences, or know of any cheap places, or places that aren't aimed just for tourists!

just bloody stupid. any site that wants you to work there and won't allow you to bring your van, tools and equipment close to where you are working. had this problem on the new north wales police HQ . park van 1/2 mile away from the site. OK, says me, then get someone of your crowd to carry all my tools, conduit bender, genny, etc., etc. all in all, about 3cwt. buggers soon found room for the van.

Same problem, same building!
