Would there be any concerns putting an ATS situated @ the Generator position…this being remote from the
house.
Usual position would be by the Main intake just pondering your views on this
 
If the intake is in the house you'd have to send the mains supply to the genny and back again, which would mean a switchfuse if it's over 3m, etc, so it might be a lot more work, plus two runs of cable heavy enough for the mains supply instead of one sized for the genny. But, if the DNO supply is at or near the genny position, it would make more sense to put the ATS there.
