Hi everyone,
I am looking to know the formula for KW to Kva
and any other related formula that you would know
thanks
v
Where does the power factor number come from?
Can you explain that with, maybe,an example???
Thanks,
i had a quick read through the attachment, there is a lot of information so I'll have to study it to get my head round it
Thanks for thatTo add to what Lucien has posted......
Generators are, in my experience, usually rated at 0.8pf.
The ratio of kW/kVA.
The kVA will give you that current rating.
The prime mover, the engine, is often rated for the power, the kW rating.
That, in turn, limits the kW you can draw from the set.
So you can't get rated kVA at better than 0.8pf.
A 100kVA genny can't deliver more than 80kW.
Books on that I don't have. Sorry. Thanks for that
is there any books that you know off that would be useful to read on this subject
